Contemporary Abstract Expressionist Textured Landscape Acrylic Painting by Brad Rickerby

Flowers, Acrylic on Paper

Fine Art Prints Available

You had better believe that this was a messy painting to create. First the sky with blue and white. No brushes. The backgrounds are all done with palette knives. Several different greens get worked over for the foreground. As the greens are drying I take the palette knife and scrape off lines of the top level of paint, creating the appearance of stems for the flowers. Then  load up a brush with yellows and whites and browns and oranges and throw the paint at the paper. This was a lot of fun to create, but messy, very messy.
